New contract in the Gulf of Mexico

Minox Technology as has signed a contract with a major Oil & Gas operator in the Gulf of Mexico, for the supply of one Minox deaeration unit to be installed offshore to increase oil recovery for the next 20 years.

The unit will have a total treatment capacity of 70.000 barrels of water per day ( bwpd) and will support the production on an existing deep water field in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Minox unit will be fabricated in Texas, USA and will be ready for installation on the topside first half of 2021. Project Management, Engineering and Procurement will be done from Minox office in Notodden, Norway

This will strengthen our innovation and development of our new deaeration concepts with compact, low maintenance and environmentally friendly systems.

Minox® is a process to remove dissolved oxygen from seawater, in order to prevent corrosion of pipes and equipment and to inhibit growth of bacteria in the reservoir.
